Robert Ullmann and Hardy Smith, long-time collaborators in Atlanta real estate, unexpectedly found their passion when they discovered the natural beauty and restorative lifestyle of Western North Carolina. They started with their own vacation homes on Fontana Lake.
“Before long, we realized that the focus of our energies and dreams had shifted from the city to the mountains,” Ullmann says.
Their company, Ultima Carolina, now creates full-amenity, environmentally sensitive communities that are built in harmony with nature, Ullmann says.
